A 2009 graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, Brain is an experienced family law and trial attorney who joined the firm in an “of counsel” capacity in June 2013.
Brian concentrates his practice in the area of family law, and assists clients of the Law Offices of Christopher J. Smith, PC with such issues as separation & divorce, child custody & visitation, child support, spousal support, protective orders, non-contested adoptions, as well as with other domestic relations issues in the courts of Central Virginia .
Brian Chan is also the attorney at the firm responsible for preparing wills, as well as medical and/or general powers of attorney. He also has extensive experience in the area of criminal law.
Admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Virginia, Brian also serves as a guardian ad litem in the 16th Judicial District, which serves Charlottesville and the surrounding counties.
