Daniel Roberts is a Virginia-licensed attorney who is of counsel to the Law Offices of Christopher J. Smith, PC. Before this position, he was a partner in the firm of Lax & Truax, LLC and of counsel at its successor firm, Reich & Truax, PLLC in Southport, CT, where he began his career in 2000.

Mr. Roberts received his undergraduate degree in Sociology from the University of Connecticut and his Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law. Mr. Roberts held a family mediator license, certified by the Florida Supreme Court (2014 to 2022), with additional training in elder mediation and shared family decision-making. He also holds a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation from the IDFA.
